Welcome To Walmley Cricket Club
Walmley C.C plays its home matches at the John Findlay Memorial Ground, Walmley, Sutton Coldfield.
The club puts out six teams on a Saturday. The 1st and 2nd teams compete in the Birmingham & District Premier League, the 3rd, 4th and 6th teams enter the Warwickshire League and 5th team are in the West Midlands 3rd XI Championship.
Three teams are also fielded on a Sunday with the 1st & 2nd team in the Warwickshire Sunday League and the 3rd team in the Development League. The Club also enters several knockout Cup competitions including the ECB National Knockout.
The Club has a flourishing Ladies Section, which is undoubtedly one of the best in the Midlands. The club runs two Ladies open age teams, one in the Northern Premier League and one in the Midland Ladies League. The Ladies section also provides a large number of County players at all age groups and open age levels.
The Club also boasts a fantastic Youth Section with sides run from Under 8's to Under 17's. The Youth sides compete in the Warwickshire League & West Midlands Youth League. Structured and tailored youth training sessions are provided both in the Winter and Summer (both as one to one and age group / ability specific). All Youth teams are coached by qualified ECB coaches. The club are very fortunate in that we have over 25 Qualified Coaches at the club.
One of the highlights of the year at Walmley Cricket Club is undoubtedly the opportunity we are given to host a Warwickshire Second XI fixture whilst the Club also hosts a number of Youth County fixtures both Boys and Girls from Under 19’s down to the Under 10 age group.
The Club also has a very active Social Committee who organise a host of events such as the Club Barbeque, Race Nights and Quiz Nights amongst other things.
